5X Stout is a hefty 17% Quintuple Stout that leans more towards the Russian Imperial end of the spectrum, and as such it’s incredibly rich, silky, and smooth with just a hint of subtle, warming booziness. One sip will instantly envelop you in a complex blend of dark licorice, caramel macchiato, dried cherries, and heaps of dark chocolate. Yet despite all that it has going on, it remains eminently drinkable, approachable, and, dare we say, refreshing.
