Earthy and medium-bodied, the wine shows flavors of red fruit, cranberries and toasted bread, with mineral-laden undertones shining through on the finish. , Although the Marquis dAngerville was unsure for a while, Plican finally decided to produce a varietal Pinot Noir in 2018 — and we cant praise it enough! Fruit for this Jura Pinot grows in boulis calcaires (fallen limestone) and gray marl soils, then ages in barrel and vat (no new oak).
