Denomination of origin:CavaVarieties:Xarello (45%), Macabeu (20%), Parellada (15%), Chardonnay (10%), Pinot Noir (10%).Aging:Minimum 15 months in the bottle, before disgorging.Tasting note:It has a pale yellow color with slight greenish tones.Clear and brilliant.Abundant release of fine bubbles.Clean and fruity aroma, with a slight hint of aging.Very expressive.Ripe fruit flavor with a light finish of nuts.Good balance, long, tasty and powerful on the palate.

The New Perelada Winery is a new step towards excellence.Designed to make great wines by RCR Arquitectes, winners of the 2017 Pritzker, it is the first winery in Europe with a LEED GOLD sustainability certificate, and has one of the widest and most complete wine tourism experiences in the country.

A little history…

The elaboration of wine in the Perelada Castle has been documented since the Middle Ages, as attested by several documents and parchments of the time that are preserved in the library.When Miguel Mateu bought this monumental complex in 1923, one of his main objectives was the revitalization of this winemaking tradition, a tradition that today is more alive than ever and that has incorporated the most modern technology to produce wines that make the most of the nuances of the Empord soils and vineyards.
