Description
8% ABV | Vermont-Style | Simcoe & Amarillo Hops
“Vermont is a small state which makes an enormous difference.” Mr. Rogers
Though hazy New England IPAs are relatively new in craft beer, they have changed drastically in the last decade. Phase Three Blue Hour Vermont Style DIPA harkens back to the early days of this trend when Vermont style was halfway way between what we now call West coast and East coast IPAs.
Blue Hour is brewed without oats or wheat, maintaining characteristic haze withouta ‘thick’ mouthfeel crisper than its new-normal counterpart.
Simcoe and Amarillo hops bring forward familiar juicy stone fruit flavors, while providing subtle dankness and notes of pine more commonly associated with west coast IPA. With a little more bitterness than nowadays NEIPAs, this piece of history offers a well-rounded Vermont style IPA rare, but not forgotten.
