Chateau de Bonnezeauxowns a history reaching back to theearly 19th century, part of Guyonne Saclier de la Btie’s ancestral history. For decades the vineyard property was leased out and eventually abandoned, until Guyonne was installed as winemaker in 2012. By 2016, she’d released her first vintage from replanted vineyards, four hectares of organic, goblet-trained Chenin Blanc.With a dense mineral backbone and a precise, dry complexity this is date night in a bottle when served with oysters.
