Description
Since the 1940s, Bartolo Mascarello was known for his traditional, rustic winemaking practices in the Langhe, advocating for old-school methods of producing legendary Nebbiolo. A supporter of traditional botti over barrique, as well as cap holding, Bartolos Baroli are known for being rich and concentrated, with strong aromatics and age-worthy potential. The 2011 vintage is pure and refined, full of licorice-tinged berry flavors noted with herbs. Floral aromatics and lively acidity, coupled with well-integrated tannins, make this wine a stunner. Less than 1200 cases produced.
