ROCKWERK is a certified sustainable Grner Veltliner hewn from the rocky soils of Lower Austria.

Rocks are omnipresent in the Austrian vineyard and determine the vines ability to find water. They retain heat and return it to the grapes and vines. Rocks facilitate the exchange of inorganic nutrients and determine the pH of the soil.

These rocky soils give mineral wines that taste of wildflowers and Alpine herbs.

The grower is the caretaker, gardener, and creator of pleasure from stone and grape

Sustainable Austria regulates biodiversity, soil health, energy consumption, chemical inputs, water usage, bottle weight, and social factors.

A positive score in all areas must be obtained to earn sustainable certification.

In the cellar, our winemaking traditions are timeless, but the methods are state-of-the-art:

• spontaneous fermentation,

• stainless steel vinification,

• Stelvin closures,

• modern packaging.
